What is Mental Fitness? 

Mental fitness is to the mind what physical fitness is to the body. In the same way mental health parallels our physical health.

 

Most of us, while we may have experienced illness or injury, generally enjoy good physical health - we're not constantly in the hospital or under medical care. The same applies to mental health. While we all face struggles at times, we typically have the ability to function, adapt, and respond to life as needed.

Physical fitness is the body’s ability to perform activities with strength, endurance, and efficiency.
Mental fitness, in contrast, is the mind’s ability to navigate internal and external challenges while maintaining clarity, resilience, and optimal performance.

It's our ability to maintain our vision and manage our thoughts, feelings, and actions in a way that generates our own desired optimal life. Just like physical fitness, it requires training and consistency. When you're mentally fit, you can handle stress more effectively, navigate challenges with clarity, and build stronger, healthier relationships.
